Most men I have had serious relationships with have told me that they like it that they can already “see” what kind of mother, wife, provider, and girlfriend I can/would be…….without having to worry that I will suddenly “change” after I settle down with them.
Men have also said that they like it that there’s no ex horning in acting as a “father” already, no drama, no courts, no ex husband, etc and that it makes them feel as if they’d be able to “adopt us” and be a real father/husband (so to speak).
I think overall my situation is different from other single mothers (in a good way) and most men seem to barely think twice when discussing it with me/dating me. Some are even overly-excited and I have to tell them to step off a bit.
I would be a hypocrite to chastise you *for not dating women with kids* because I have never dated a man who had kids, either (which is weird since I have one) and I’ve also only dated one guy who was previously married.
Otherwise I have only dated slightly younger, single, childless men.
I think I’d be fine with raising another woman’s kids. I like kids and already have my sisters 4 kids living with me as well. What’s a few more, lol?!
For whatever reason kids really like ME too so I gave up on avoiding children long ago :)
